Texas Rule of Evidence 1009

Under Rule 1009, a translation of a foreign-language document is admissible if, at least 45 days before trial, the party offering it serves every other party with the translation, the original document, and a qualified translator's affidavit or unsworn declaration setting out the translator's qualifications and certifying that the translation is accurate. A party who disputes it can serve a translation of their own.

The 45-day deadline is what catches people. Our standard turnaround is 24 hours, but a document set for trial should be sent well before the deadline, so that the translator's declaration can be served with it.
