Certified Translation Services in Massachusetts
No state its size sends us more academic credential work than Massachusetts. Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Northeastern, Tufts and the UMass system between them admit tens of thousands of international students, and every foreign transcript, degree certificate and grading scale in that pipeline needs certified translation before a credential evaluator will look at it.
Alongside that runs a substantial immigration caseload through the Boston and Lawrence field offices and the Boston immigration court.

Town clerks, the Trial Court and the Commonwealth
Massachusetts vital records are issued both centrally by the Registry of Vital Records and Statistics and locally by the city or town clerk where the event occurred. A town clerk's certified copy is a full public record and generally goes straight to the Secretary of the Commonwealth for an apostille without any intermediate step.
The state operates a single Trial Court with separate departments — Probate and Family, Superior, District, Housing — and translated documents turn up most often in Probate and Family matters: foreign divorces, guardianships, adoptions and estates with overseas heirs.
Credential evaluation, done in the right order
Order the official transcript from the issuing institution. Have it translated in full, including the grading scale and any explanatory notes on the reverse. Then send the original and the translation together to the evaluator.
Do not convert grades, do not summarise, and do not omit courses that look irrelevant. Evaluators reject incomplete translations and the resubmission costs more than doing it properly the first time.
