Birth Certificate Translation in Washington State

Washington has received a large share of the Ukrainians who arrived after 2022, adding to an older Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking community around Seattle and Spokane. Ukrainian civil documents issued since independence are in Ukrainian; those issued before 1991 are often in Russian, from Soviet registry offices that no longer exist.

Many recent arrivals also hold extracts from Ukraine's electronic state register rather than paper certificates. These are translated as extracts, with the register details and any verification code carried over.
