Interpreters are not translators
Under CPLR 2101(b), a foreign-language affidavit or exhibit must be accompanied by an English translation and a statement from the translator setting out their qualifications and that the translation is accurate. A court interpreter who helps a witness testify has nothing to do with that requirement, and an exhibit filed without a proper translation is open to challenge.
