Translation for Marketing and Advertising Agencies
Professional translation for agencies and in-house marketing teams: approved copy and its legal disclosures, collateral, press releases, and the agency's own contracts.
The short answer
We do not provide marketing, copywriting or transcreation. Agencies and marketing teams use us for professional translation of approved material: ads, brochures and press releases, with required disclosures in the ad's language (16 CFR 14.9), and of their own client contracts, NDAs and media agreements. False-advertising law applies whatever the language (15 U.S.C. 1125(a)), so claims are translated exactly.
Rules that apply
Each rule links to its source. Checked 4 November 2026. Rules change, so confirm with the office that will receive your documents.
| Rule | Source |
|---|---|
| An advertisement in a language other than English must make its required disclosures in that language. | 16 CFR 14.9 |
| False or misleading commercial statements are actionable under the Lanham Act in any language. | 15 U.S.C. 1125(a) |
| Public signs and commercial advertising in Quebec must be in French; another language may be added if French is markedly predominant. | Charter of the French Language, CQLR c. C-11, s. 58 |
| French is mandatory in advertising and in the description of goods and services in France. | Loi n° 94-665 (Toubon Law) |
| Endorsements and testimonials must reflect honest opinions and disclose material connections, in any language the ad uses. | 16 CFR part 255 (Endorsement Guides) |
What agencies send us
- Approved copy for a campaign that must run in Spanish, French or another language, with its legal lines and disclosures.
- Collateral: brochures, sales sheets, catalogues, packaging text and press releases.
- Research: foreign market reports, competitor materials and survey results the strategy team needs to read in English.
- Agency business documents: client contracts, statements of work, NDAs, influencer and talent agreements, media-buying contracts with foreign partners.
Faithful translation, not adaptation
We translate the copy you approve, as written. We do not rewrite headlines, invent slogans or adapt a campaign creatively; that is your creative team's work. Where a line will not survive translation, for example a pun or a rhyme, we translate its meaning, add a short note explaining what is lost, and leave the creative decision to you. That keeps the translation honest and the responsibility for the message where it belongs.
Claims and disclosures stay exact
Prices, offer terms, APRs, "results not typical", allergy and ingredient statements, warranty limits and endorsement disclosures are translated exactly. Under FTC rules, an ad in Spanish must carry its required disclosures in Spanish; a translated ad with English-only small print does not comply. False- advertising law applies to the translated claim as much as to the English one, so we never soften or strengthen a claim in translation.
French-speaking markets
Campaigns for Quebec must be in French, and on signs and commercial advertising French must be markedly predominant over any other language. In France, the Toubon Law requires French in advertising. Say which market the copy is for, because Quebec and European French differ in vocabulary.
Contracts with clients and partners
Agencies working across borders sign contracts in other languages: a client's standard terms in German, a talent agreement in Spanish, a media contract in Portuguese. These are translated as contracts, with usage rights, territories, exclusivity and payment terms exact, and the governing language stated.
Spanish for the US market
US Spanish-language campaigns reach readers from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. By default we translate into a neutral US Spanish and avoid words that mean different things in different countries. If the campaign targets one community, tell us which, and we use its vocabulary. Prices, dates and phone numbers follow US formats unless the brief says otherwise.
Turnaround for campaigns
Campaign deadlines are fixed. Send the final approved English, not a draft that will change, with the launch date. Short pieces such as ads, emails and press releases usually fit within the first-page price and can be delivered within hours on expedited service. If the English changes after translation starts, send only the changed lines and we update the translation to match.
What we don't do
We do not provide marketing services: no copywriting, transcreation, campaign management, media buying, SEO or keyword research, brand-name checks or social media management. We translate approved text and documents you send us.
